Obituary
MURPHYSBORO – Daniel C. Flowers, 59, of Red Bud, formerly of Murphysboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Evelyn's Hospice House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Daniel was born in Murphysboro, on March 21, 1958, the son of Ronald Claude and Charlotte Ann Bean Flowers. He married Lisa M. Crews on September 18, 1993 at the Methodist Church in Vergennes, Illinois. Daniel taught for 30 years at Red Bud High School. He would have retired in May 2018, but due to illness he retired in August of 2017. Dan loved hiking, bicycling and enjoyed the outdoors.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Lisa Flowers of Red Bud; and brother, David (Emily) Flowers of Murphysboro.
Daniel was preceded in death by his Parents and one sister, Sarah Ann Flowers.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Bill Stoklosa officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 4 pm until 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 11 am.
