Obituary

TILDEN, Dale E Mezel, 56, of Tilden, passed away at 12:40 PM Saturday, March 24, 2012, at his home in Tilden, Illinois. Dale was born August 26, 1955 in Sparta, Illinois the son of Jake and Darlene Hill Mezel. He married Martha Campanella on October 7, 1995 in Coulterville, IL. He was an over the road truck driver for Cayenne Express, Inc. in Dupo, IL. He was a member of the Landmark Apostolic Church in Sparta. Dale is survived by his wife, Martha Mezel of Tilden; two sons, David Mezel (Michelle Chandler) of Coulterville, IL and Brian Mezel (Amy Hubbard) of Pinckneyville, IL; daughter, Marcy Lietz (Fiancée: James Specogni) of Sparta; parents, Jake and Darlene Mezel of Tilden; mother-in-law, Theodora Campanella of Willisville; brother-in-law, Robert (Donna) Campanella of Willisville; sister-in-law, Kimberly Campanella of Carbondale, IL; niece, Jessica (Ryan) Fisher; great nephew, Michale Fisher; two great nieces, Rylee & Isabella Fisher; several uncles, aunts and cousins; and two four legged friends, Gracie & Gus. Dale was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jacob & Lorene Mezel; maternal grandparents, Lloyd & Irene Hill; and his father-in-law, Ignatius Campanella. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Landmark Apostolic Church in Sparta, Illinois with Rev. Doug Rice and Rev. Dr. Dennis Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Coulterville Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Visitation will be at Landmark Apostolic Church on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral is under auspices of Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
