PERCY, Dale E. Dagner, 60, of Percy, passed away at 8:45 AM Sunday, December 11, 2011, in Percy, IL. He was born November 29, 1951 in Murphysboro, Illinois the son of Howard Dagner and Betty (Leonard) Dagner. Dale married Donna Jean Davis on Saturday, May 18, 1974 in Chester, IL. He is survived by his wife: Donna J. Dagner of Percy, IL; two sons: Jason and Carmen Dagner of Willisville, IL, Jeff and Angie Dagner of Percy, IL; five grandchildren: Shaela, Whitney, Briana, Cadynce and Jase; two brothers: Albert S. and Diann Dagner of Marion, IL, Allen and Vickie Dagner of Ava, IL; one sister: Corliss Thies of Murphysboro, IL; several nieces and nephews; special friends and brothers-in-laws: Bill Davis, Howard Warren, Larry Dauer, Greg Rushing, Don Jones, and Eugene Edwards. Dale is preceded in death by his: parents, one sister: Connie Edwards. Dale was the owner, with his son Jeff of Dagner Excavating in Percy, IL. Dale was also a member and on the board of trustees and also a Sunday School teacher at Tri- County First Pentecostal Church in Cutler, IL. He worked in Jail Ministries in Randolph and Perry County. He was also a member of the U.M.W. of A. Dale was an avid outdoorsman and truly loved hunting, fishing, and wood working. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being a server to his community and was dedicated to his church family. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Tri- County First Pentecostal Church Cutler, Illinois. Rev. Billy E. Pendergrass will be officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, IL. Visitation will be at Tri- County First Pentecostal Church in Cutler on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and then on Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM. Memorials may be made to Tri - County First Pentecostal Church Sunday School Department. Arrangement are under the auspices of Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL.
