ELKVILLE – Connie S. McMillan, 70, of Elkville, IL, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at her home in Elkville, Illinois.

Connie was born on November 17, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, Mo, the daughter of James E. and Lena (Crader) Wampler. Connie married Robert McMillan. She had retired from Elverado School District and was a member of the SIU Alumni Association. Connie loved to travel, teaching, her cats and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside, gardening and canning. Connie was a really great cook. She loved the theater and Elton John. Connie also enjoyed reading, indulging in shopping and jewelry.

Connie is survived by her children: Tabitha Lashbrook of Desoto, IL, Rhonda (Chris) Elder of DuQuoin, IL, Ruthie Hicks of Vergennes, IL; her grandchildren and golden granddaughter, AKA Chelsey Rheinecker of Desoto, IL, Camdan Brewner, Jaxen Hicks, Braxton Elder, and Madysen Hicks, her great grandchildren: Ivey and Huxley French and Kynleigh Clark; her cat, Jade, her siblings: Glenda Sizemore (Galen), Ron Wampler, Vicky (Danny) Fletcher, her twin, Bonnie (Dennis) Harrison, Sherry Norris, Rodney Wampler, Becky Stokes (David); and her stepmother, Bonnie Brooks.

Connie was preceded in death by her Parents.

Connie's wishes were for cremation. Memorials may be given to St. Francis Animal Rescue and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
