CHESTER - Clark L. Kranz, 60, of Chester, passed away at 8:30 pm, Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester. Clark was born at Hamilton A.F.B. in California on August 13, 1952 the son of Leland F. and Dorothy Rodewald Kranz. He married Karen E. Hartmann on November 14, 1971 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bremen. Clark worked for 23 1/2 years at Spartan Printing prior to presently working in Maintenance at Gilster Mary-Lee Garage in Perryville, MO. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Bremen. Clark is survived by his wife, Karen E. Kranz of Chester; three children, Kristie (Tyler) Bradley of Steeleville, Jay (Lindsay) Kranz of Chester, and Andrea (Michael, Jr.) Baughman of Chester; seven grandchildren, Katlyn, Lane and Rachel Bradley, Austin and Karlie Kranz, and Brendan and Bethany Baughman; one brother, Mark Kranz of Steeleville; one sister, Shelly (Garry) Roux of Collinsville, IL; mother-in-law, Lorine Dierks of Chester; brother-in-law, Dale (Jamie) Hartmann of Chester; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Clark was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; and his father-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 20, 2012 at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Bremen with Debra Rathert, Interim Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Bremen. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 to 11 at the church. The preferred form of remembrance are memorials to a Love Fund for the Family.
