Obituary

JACOB – Clarence F. Beckman, 101, of Jacob, passed away at 10:30 am, Monday, December 7, 2020, at his home in Jacob, IL.

Clarence was born in Ava, Illinois, on October 13, 1919, the son of Frederick H. and Anna L. (Meyerhoff) Beckman.  He married Eunice Guetersloh on May 6, 1946.  Clarence served in the John Deere Battalion in WWII. He was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, IL., and a member of VFW Post #7190, Murphysboro, IL.  Clarence was a lifelong farmer.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Eunice Beckman of Jacob, Children; Lauren (Em) Beckman of Ava, Rodney (Jamie) Beckman of Ava and Cynthia (Randall)Beckman Smith of St. Pete, FL.  Nine Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandson.

Clarence is preceded in death by his Parents, five Brothers and one Sister.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Gorham, IL, with Reverend Mike Kettner officiating.  Burial to follow.  Visitation will begin at 10:30 at Christ Lutheran Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church.  To sign the guestbook visit www.wilsonsfuneralhome.net .  Due to executive order, face masks must be worn, and social guidelines must be followed.
