PERCY - Clara H. Biermann, 93, of Percy, passed away at Scenic View Nursing Home in Herculaneum, Missouri on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Clara was born in Jacob, Illinois on August 9, 1921, the daughter of Martin and Minnie Weslow Oetjen. She married Norbert H. Biermann on April 23, 1943 at Perryville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1971. Clara was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville and was involved in various church organizations. She was a Homemaker. Clara is survived by one sons, Lawrence (Pat) Biermann of Imperial, MO; one daughter, Marilyn Cox of Humboldt, TN; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and one sister, Mae Sprengle of Chester, IL. Clara was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shirley Acton; two brothers and one sister. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Kelly C. Bedard officiating. Burial will follow in Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, Illinois. Visitation will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Wednesday, where friends may call from 11 am until 1 pm. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or St. Mark's Lutheran School.
