CARBONDALE – Christina Eve Nellis, 43, of Carbondale passed away at 11:56 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Christina was born on July 5, 1976, in Carbondale the daughter of Joseph Lynn and Martha Lou (Cargill) Nellis. She worked quality control at Compact in Carbondale.

Christina is survived by a daughter; Cheyenne Nicole Nellis, of Carbondale, parents; Joe and Martha Nellis, of Carbondale, siblings; June Nellis, of Carbondale, Michelle Nellis, of Carbondale.

Christina was preceded in death by her brother; Kenny, sister; Joyce Ann, grandparents; Jerry and Faye Nellis, Hazel and Melvin Brasel, uncle; Steven Nellis, aunt; Donna Marks.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held, with burial at the Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava is assisting the family with the arrangements.
