STEELEVILLE – Cherie Brand, 55, of Steeleville, passed away, Friday, February 26, 2021, at Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, Illinois.

Cherie was born November 29, 1965 in Chester, IL, to Gussie and Arline (Smyth) Brandt. Cherie worked in Maintenance at Gilster Mary Lee Corporation, Steeleville, IL.  She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Cherie is survived by her sons, Edward Brand of Pinckneyville, IL and Lyle Brand of Pinckneyville, IL, mother, Arline Brandt of Percy, IL, and her brother, Doug Brandt of Silver Springs, FL.

Cherie was preceded in death by her father, Gussie Brandt.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL with Reverend Jerry McElroy officiating.  Burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL.  Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL.  Memorials may be given to the Reverend Jerry McElroy Mission Fund and can be mailed to Wilson Funeral Home, P.O.
