MURPHYSBORO – Charlotte A. Fink, 76, of Murphysboro, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at home in Murphysboro.

Charlotte was born in Muncie, Indiana, on July 15, 1947, the daughter of Charles R. and Florence Jo McGeath Etherton. She married Jerry Allen Fink in 1977 in Murphysboro, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2007. Charlotte retired from Jackson County Nursing Home and Marion VA Center.

Charlotte is survived by her life companion, Floyd Cook of Murphysboro; sons, Charles Robert McNeill of Smith Station, AL and Michael Lewis McNeill of Murphysboro; grandchildren, Jami Blainey, Rebecca Paul, Catherine Giles, Jacob McNeill, David McNeill, Michaela McNeill, and Erica McNeill; 5 great grandchildren; step children, Jerry Allen Fink, Jr. of Spring Hill, FL, Allen Joseph Fink of Port Richie, FL, and Dawn Marie Nikolopoulos of Holliday, FL; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Gage of Vienna, IL and Debbie Dippie of Vienna, IL; one brother, Keith Etherton of Alabama; and one sister-in-law, Jolene Morber of Murphysboro, IL.

Charlotte was also preceded in death by her Parents and sister, Donna Major.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Pastor Jim Gage officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 11 am until 1 pm on Friday. Memorials may be given to the Marion VA Activity Fund.
