WILLISVILLE, Charles Edward Sumner, 58, of Willisville, passed away at 12:03pm Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at his home in Willisville, IL. He was born January 02, 1953 in East St. Louis, Illinois the son of Charles Thomas Sumner and Wilma (Hamilton) Sumner. Charles worked at a Janitor for S.T.A.R.T. Industries. He was also a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Willisville, IL. He is survived by his brother: Robert Sumner of Willisville, IL; two sisters: Susan and Jerry Qualls of Willisville, IL and Rebecca and Bill Chandler of Willisville, IL; Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Charles is preceded in death by his parents and step father. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at New Hope Gardens in Willisville. Rev. Ed Spiller will be officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Gardens Visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Church on Thursday from 10am to Noon. Memorials may be made to Love fund for the family.
