WEST FRANKFORT, Charles L. Stewart, 62, of West Frankfort, IL, formerly of Steeleville, IL passed away at 9:02 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN. Charles was born December 20, 1948 in Sparta, Illinois the son of Charles V. Stewart and Dorothy (Lovins) Stewart. He was an US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville. Charles is survived by his mother, Dorothy Stewart of Steeleville; brother, Kenneth Stewart of Steeleville; and uncle, Marvin (Marge) Stewart of Steeleville. Charles was preceded in death by his Father and grandparents. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm and on Monday from 7:30 am until 10:30 am. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
