CUTLER – Charles R. "Chee Chee" Myers, 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, Illinois.

Charles was born on September 17, 1930, in Cutler, IL, the son of Clyde and Lylian (Smith) Myers. He married Delores Benedict on October 21, 1950, in Arkansas. Charles was a Veteran from the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Captain Mine Coal Mines. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.

Charles is survived by his wife, Delores Myers of Cutler, IL, his children: Pat (Bob) Smith of Cutler, IL, Jean (Richard) Maiocco of Peoria, AZ, Scott Myers of Cutler, IL, Kellie Hunter of Marion, IL; his 8 grandchildren: Kent, Lee, Kyle, Kristen, Ryan, Seth Nicholas, Brett; 4 great grandsons: Nathan, Jack, Owen, Tate; and his brother, Glenn Myers of Percy, IL.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Marvin.

Graveside services were held on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Cottom Cemetery, Cutler, IL, with Pastor Marty DeRoche officiating. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital and can mailed in c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
