AVA - Charles W. Crontz, 69, of Ava, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 3:04 am at his home in Ava. Charles was born in Gary, Indiana on October 6, 1942, the son of Robert and Virginia Crontz. He married Sandra Bequette Imm on March 4, 2011 in Pinckneyville, IL. He was retired from Steel Mills. Charles was a member of the American Legion in Gary, IN. Charles is survived by his wife, Sandra Crontz of Ava; two sons, Jerry (Tammy) Crontz of Ava and Martin Crontz of Ava; two grandchildren; and one sister, Caroll White of Lake Dale, IN. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, April. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Thursday. Memorials may be given to TIP Hospice.
