STEELEVILLE – Charlene A. McDaniels, 76, of Steeleville, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, Illinois.

Charlene was born March 10, 1946, in Murphysboro, IL, to Charles and Earline (Gregory) Baker. She married J. Fred Daniels, on September 8, 1967, in Steeleville, IL. Charlene was a homemaker and a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL and Ladies Auxiliary BBK American Legion Post 480, Steeleville, IL

Charlene is survived by her husband, J. Fred McDaniels of Steeleville, IL, children; Tammy (Chad) Forsting of Steeleville, IL, Joey McDaniels of Steeleville, IL; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sisters: Sue Batteau of Vergennes, IL, Glenda Cheatham of Ava, IL, Linda Brown of Ava, IL, Deb Schumer of Coulterville, IL, and Cheryl Baker of Murphysboro, IL.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Michael.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 27, 2022, at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, with Rev. Ed Spiller officiating.
