HURST, Cathy Lynn Randolph, 58, of Hurst, passed away at Tuesday, February 03, 2009, at Nature Coast Regional Hospital in Williston, FL. Cathy was born May 27, 1950 in Murphysboro, Illinois the daughter of Lester C. Thies and BluJean (Carter) Thies. She married George W. Randolph, Sr. on January 9, 1971 at Temple Hill, MD. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL. Cathy was a homemaker and retired in 2004 as a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Ronstan Corporation an International Sailing Hardware Co. headquartered in Australia. Cathy formerly lived in Moline, IL, Suburbs of Chicago and Clearwater Beach, Florida. Cathy supported her husband's career as a Federal Bureau of Investigations Special Agent and that is how she had the opportunity to live in so many places. She is survived by her husband George W. Randolph, Sr. of Hurst, IL; One Son, George W. (Vickie) Randolph, Jr. of Rockford, IL; two grandchildren, Caleb & Jacob; Stepmother, Verdelle Thies of Campbell Hill; two brothers, Douglas Thies of Campbell Hill and Brent Thies of Clearwater, FL; one sister, Retha Meyerhoff of Percy, IL; stepbrothers, Larry & Lonnie Fisher both of Campbell Hill, IL; and stepsister, Patty Kenner of Herrin, IL. She was preceded in death by her Parents and One Sister: Pamela Knop. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill with Rev. Raymond Barclay officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm and on Monday at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava from 7:30 am until 9 am and on Monday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill from 10 to 11 am. There will be not be any viewing at the church. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes or St. Luke's Memorial Fund.
