STEELEVILLE – Catherine Mary Krantz, 81, of Steeleville, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, Illinois.

Catherine was born January 6, 1941, in Addieville, IL, to Lawrence and Amelia (Walta) Hubert. She married Roger D. Krantz on August 27, 1960, at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2021. Together they had three children which she felt were a blessing to her from God.

Catherine was employed at American Device for 27 years. After retiring, she loved working with all the beautiful flowers she had. When bad health moved in, she enjoyed needlepoint and embroidery.

She leaves behind her sons, Terrin Dale Krantz of Champaign, and Kerry Lee Krantz (Juli) of Fisher, IL, a daughter, Sandra Kay Prange (Dale) of Steeleville, IL. She also leaves six grandchildren: Tara Conder (Scott), Krista Falaster (Bryce), Lorren Krantz, Ava krantz, and twin brothers, Marcus & Isaac Krantz; and three great grandchildren: Taelyn Cleland, Kendal Carrolan and Sonny Falaster. She also has one surviving brother, Bernie Hubert (Judy) of Steeleville, IL.

Catherine is also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Robert, Lawrence, Edwin, and Victor; and one sister, Minnie Richards.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Matt Helfrich officiating. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62238.
