SPARTA – Carolyn Baue, 76, of Sparta, passed away at 9:45 pm, Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Carolyn was born in Sparta, Illinois, on May 30, 1944, the daughter of Christopher and Bertha Cunningham Hill.  She married David W. Baue on March 11, 1961, in Sparta, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on February 19, 2011.  Carolyn was retired from both Bridal Original and Wal-Mart in Sparta, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Sparta.  She was also proud of the strong women in her life.

Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Barbara Baue of Washington, MO and Jackie Lindenberg of Steeleville; four granddaughters, Jennifer (Zach Young) Lindenberg, RN, BSN, Heather Lindenberg, MS in Exercise Science, Erin Javurek, Associates Degree in Nutrition, and Kristen Javurek, BS in Environmental Biology; one great granddaughter, Sadie See Latz.  Carolyn is also survived by her brother, Byron (Janet Colvis) Hill of Venice, FL; Anne Hill of Louisville, KY and Margaret Jeanne (Thomas) Stephanides of Red Bud, IL. She is also survived by her trusted Pomeranian, Bailieh Jo Baue, many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her Parents, brothers, Donald and Robert Hill, and brother-in-law Roger Hill.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church, Sparta, service at 11 a.m., with Rev.
