STEELEVILLE - Carol Ann Kueker, 64, of Steeleville, passed away at 7:15 pm, Monday, July 29, 2013 at her home in Steeleville. Carol was born in Red Bud, Illinois, on August 29, 1948, the daughter of Charles H. and Marie Schuline Suhre. She married Robert L. Kueker on June 7, 1969 in Evansville, IL. Carol was a Court Advocate for Violence Protection in Randolph County, Illinois. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Steeleville and the St. Ann's Altar Sodality in Sparta. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert L. Kueker of Steeleville; one daughter, Justina (James) Essen of St. Louis, MO; one son, Jonathan (Nicol) Kueker of Hennepin, IL; one granddaughter, Madelyn Kueker; two grandsons, Jacob and Andrew Essen; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Archie and Alice Kueker of Walsh, IL. Carol was preceded in death by her Parents and one brother, Marvin Suhre. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta with Father John Agbasiere and Father Ben Stern officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Grove Cemetery, Ellis Grove, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday with rosary recited at 8 pm Wednesday and on Thursday from 7:30 am until 9 am. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Southern Illinois or Masses.
