MURPHYSBORO – Carla Jean Wallace, 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at her home in Murphysboro, IL.

Carla was born on August 18, 1945, in Washington, DC, the daughter of Carl E. and Virginia Dot (Pike) Fulford. She married Delbert E. "Woody" Wallace on April 6, 1997, in Murphysboro, IL. Carla graduated from High School in 1964. She was a Telephone Salesperson for NBTY and was a  member of Elm Street Baptist Church, Murphysboro, IL.

Carla is survived by her husband, Delbert E. "Woody" Wallace of Murphysboro, IL, her son, Charles Wayne (Kathy) Robinson of Carterville, IL, her stepdaughters: Amanda Williams of DeSoto, IL, Erin Nunley of Desoto, IL; her 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Wayne and Larry Fulford.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Pastor Charles Allen officiating. Burial to follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, where friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.
