CHESTER – Candy Lohman, 61, of Chester, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at her home in Chester, IL.

Candy was born in Belleville, IL, on January 26, 1962, the daughter of Robert and Doris (Hatridge) Lueth.  She married Douglas Lohman on March 10, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bremen, IL. Candy was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Chester Eagles Auxiliary. She was active with the Susan B. Komen Foundation & Walk while her health allowed it, Candy enjoyed making jewelry, shopping for antiques, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Surviving is her husband, Douglas Lohman of Chester, IL, her children: Desuray (Bill) Kernan of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Christina (Dustin) Houk of Chester, IL; her grandchildren: Courtney, Alexandrea, Hailey, Gaebraile; her great grandchildren: Kennedy and Isbella; her siblings: Michael Hatridge of Prairie Du Rocher, IL, George Lueth of Myrtle Beach, SC, Gary Lueth of Sparta, IL, Patricia Inselmann of Steeleville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Candy is preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Lazuras and Jason, and one nephew, Larry.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, and then 7:30 am until hour of service on Thursday.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Pastor John Chamness officiating.  Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta, IL.  Memorials may be given to Maple Creek Hospice, c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Steeleville, IL, 62288.
