STEELEVILLE, Calvin L. Stoffel, 75, of Steeleville, passed away at 5:21 P.M. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at his home in Steeleville, IL. Calvin was born August 31, 1933 in Willisville, Illinois the son of Rolla B. Stoffel and Irene (Benson) Stoffel. Calvin married Lola May Hirsch on February 7, 1953 in DuQuoin, IL. She preceded him in death on April 9, 1999. He was a retired coal miner from Ziegler #2 Mine. Calvin was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville; a retired member of the Steeleville Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of the Steeleville Eagles. Calvin is survived by, one son, Bill (Robin) Stoffel of Steeleville; one daughter, Debra (Glenn) Eisenhauer of Pinckneyville; 8 grandchildren, Heather (Thomas) George of Pinckneyville, Brandon (Betsy) Stoffel of Steeleville, Shane (Andrea) Stoffel of San Antonio, TX, Desiree (Ricky) Taylor of DuQuoin, IL, Dustin (Tiffany L.) Stoffel of Pinckneyville, Brittany Eisenhauer of Pinckneyville, Blake Eisenhauer of Pinckneyville and Tiffany M. Stoffel of Steeleville; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Dean (Florence) Stoffel of Willisville. He was also preceded in death by his Parents and Two Sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Tim Hubert officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until hour of service. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
