MURPHYSBORO – Bruce A. Baker, 63, of Murphysboro, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at his home in Murphysboro, IL.

Bruce was born in Carbondale, IL, on January 16, 1960, the son of Richard and Juanita (Smith) Baker. Bruce was a retired Laborer and a member of the Laborers Union #773, Marion, IL.

Surviving is the mother of his children, Sheila Baker of Murphysboro, IL, his children: Kyle Baker of Ava, IL, Karlie (Coltin) Lewis of Columbia, MO; his granddaughter, Lynzie Baker, his siblings: Billy (Kathy) Baker of Chester, IL, Rhonda Dickerson of Murphysboro, IL, Saundra Baker of Murphysboro, IL, Cindy House of Chester, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers-in-law, Gary House and Michael Dickerson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, where friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 6:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Rev. Robert Spangler officiating.
