AVA - Brian S. Modglin, Jr., 21, of Ava, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Illinois. Brian was born in Sparta, Illinois on June 29, 1992, the son of Sharon K. Bramlett. Brian was a member of the Trico High School graduating Class of 2010. Brian is survived by his mother, Sharon McComb of Ava; sisters, Jordin McComb of Murphysboro and Emma McComb of Ava; step brother, Dalton Bruns of Murphysboro; maternal grandparents, Philip and Gena Bramlett of Ava; maternal grandparents, Gary and Shirley McComb of Murphysboro; paternal grandparents, Scott and Ethel Modglin of Ava; aunts, Dawn (Kjuan) Lissimore of Ava, Casey Moran of Murphysboro, and Leslie McComb (Blake Mulholland) of DeSoto, IL; and uncles, Philip (Mindy) Bramlett of Campbell Hill and Damon McComb of Murphysboro. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Kathy Bramlett. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Deb Rathert, Lay Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 4:30 pm until 8 pm Wednesday and on Thursday from 7:30 am until 10:00 am. Memorials may be given to the Brain Injury Association of America.
