CHESTER – Brian E. Crawford, 60, of Chester, IL, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at his home in Chester, Illinois.
Brian was born August 13, 1962, in Perryville, MO, to John A. and Sandra A. (Yankey) Crawford. He married Jo Ellen Thielemann, on September 1, 2015, in Las Vegas, NV. Brian was a truck driver. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chester, and a former Mason and Shriner. Brian was a professional drummer for many years and traveled with Joe Worrel and The Last Fee Exit Band. He opened for many big names such as Blake Shelton, Ronnie Milsap, The Nitty Gritty Dirt band, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and that's just to name a few. He also played with many local home town bands. Brian loved music and was an amazing drummer. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and all types of cars.
Brian is survived by his wife, Jo Ellen Crawford of Chester, IL, children: Brandon Michael (Kayla) Crawford of Princeton, IL, Bradley Ryan (Adriana) Crawford of Perryville, MO, Courtni Alyzabeth (David Bartony) Hug of O'Fallon, IL, Nick Lindsey of Murphysboro, IL, Tristen Joiner of Chester, IL; twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild, siblings: Carl and Robin Crawford of Ellis Grove, IL, Diana and Kenny Batten of Chester, IL, Michelle and Melissa Crawford of Chester, IL, and Sam Crain of Chester, IL.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm, Friday, September 30, 2022, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Mike Fogerson officiating. Friends may call from 4 – 7:30 pm. Memorials may be given to Sandra's Comfort Wee Care and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
