CAMPBELL HILL – Brett Allan Mitchell, 56, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 5:40 am, Friday, June 3, 2022, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Murphysboro.

Brett was born in Pinckneyville, Illinois, on December 29, 1965, the son of Fred and Shirley J. Rushing Mitchell.  He was a Pipefitter.  Brett was a member of the First Baptist Church, Steeleville.  Brett loved to fish and hunt.

Brett is survived by one daughter, Morgan Mitchell of Christopher, IL; one granddaughter, Archer Curry; mother, Shirley Mitchell of Jacksonville, IL; and two sisters, Kim (David) Pohlman and Debbie Mitchell, both of Jacksonville, IL.

Brett was preceded in death by his Father.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, Illinois, with Rev. Zack Furlong officiating.  Burial will follow.  Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church, Cutler .
