MURPHYSBORO – Brent Michael Compton, 28, of Murphysboro, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, in Florissant, Missouri.

Brent was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, on March 5, 1992, the son of Roy R., Jr. and Michelle Holder Compton.  He was a Construction Worker.

Brent is survived by a daughter, Izabella Ortiz of Florissant, MO; a son, Karson of DeSoto, IL; mother, Michelle (Chris Compton) Allen of Ava; sisters, Nicole (Micah) Thomas of Carterville and Samantha Allen of Ava; nephew, Tegan Thomas; grandparents, Roy, Sr. and Sharon Compton of Ava, Pamela Harris of Marion, IL, and Joe Holder of Ava.

Brent was preceded in death by his Father and Uncle, Christopher Holder.

Phase 4 Restore Guidelines will be in effect, which allows 50 attendees at one time, using social distancing guidelines.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 2:00 pm, at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, with Richard Pike officiating.  Burial will follow.   Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call on Thursday from 10 am until 1:45 pm.  Memorials may be given to the Family.
