CUTLER – Brad Young, 72, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Brad was born on March 3, 1952, in Christopher, IL, the son of Homer L. and Gladys (Wynn) Young. He married Marty R. Deppe on May 5, 1972, in Cutler, IL. Brad was Retired and Co-owner of Hide Away Tavern in Percy, IL, for 38 ½ years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cutler, IL, Chester Eagles Aeries #3252, and the Percy IOOF Lodge. Brad enjoyed participating in car shows and showing his car, being a Nascar fan, mowing grass, spending time outside and time with his cat Lu.

Brad is survived by his wife, Marty Young of Cutler, IL, his siblings: Jerry (Jackie) Young of Percy, IL, Gloria (Dwayne) Miller of Alamo, TX, sister-in-law, Sue Young of Steeleville; his nieces: Emily Milligan, Tracy (Roger) Loos, Jane (Tim) Cobin, Connie (Paul) Dolce; his nephews: Mark (Tracy) Young, Cale Young (Tara Chaderton) Cole (Missy) Young, Corey (Chrissy) Young, Larry (Connie) Brandhorst, Jesse (Stacy) Deppe; several great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Young and a brother-in-law, Glenn Brandhorst.

Funeral services will be on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Stephen Duncan officiating. Burial to follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, where friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 am.
