CAMBRIA – Bonnie L. Faverty, 80, of Cambria, passed away at 11:45 pm, Friday, August 1, 2025, at her daughter's home in Cambria.

Bonnie was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, on November 22, 1944, the daughter of Melvin and Irene Hoops Thies. She married Daniel J. "Boonie" Faverty. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1993. Bonnie was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill and was retired from Gilster Mary-Lee.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Renee Kidd of Cambria, Dawn Faverty of Carbondale and Scott Faverty; granddaughter, Jayda Kidd; sisters, Diann (Jerry) Moore of Willisville, Judy McFadden of Steeleville, Mary Ann (Rick) Bowerman of Campbell Hill, Connie (Bruce) Shockley of Lenzburg, IL; brothers, Allen (Carolyn) Thies of Willisville, Terry Thies of Willisville, and Melvin "Zeke" Thies of Willisville; numerous nieces and nephews; and her puppy, Callie.

Bonnie was also preceded in death by her Parents; four brothers, Gerald, Lonnie "Buck", Kenneth "Cornbread" and Randy "Nip" Thies; and brother-in-law, Royce McFadden.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 am, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, with Rev. Mark Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be on Saturday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church from 10 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to a College for Jayda Kidd.
