STEELEVILLE – Bonnie J. Ebers, 72, of Steeleville, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, IL.

Bonnie was born January 5, 1949 in Sparta, IL, to Stanley and Edith Dobyns Eggemeyer.  She married Larry G. Ebers on February 14, 1985 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Sparta, IL.   Bonnie worked at an insurance company, Consolidated Coal, and Craig Williams Creative, Inc.  She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, The Ladies Aid, her Bible Study Group, and was a softball player on a women's league.  Bonnie was a great cook especially making homemade cherry and peach pies.  Family was always an important part of her life.  Bonnie and Larry loved to go dancing and traveling.  She was talented at decorating her home with unique items.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Larry Ebers of Steeleville, IL, sisters; Carol (Mike) Skinner of Waterloo, IL, Sandy (Dave) Degenhardt of Murphysboro, IL, Kathy (Bret) Gale of Sparta, IL, mother-in-law, Violet Ebers of Steeleville, IL, brother-in-law, Lonny (Judy) Ebers of Chester, IL, sister-in-law, Joyce (Jerry) Ohlau of Percy, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 29, 2021, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, with Reverend Sean R. Smith officiating.  Burial to follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville.  Friends may call 6–8 pm, Friday, May 28, 2021, and 8-9 am, Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Wilson Funeral Home, Steeleville and 10-11 am, Saturday, at the church.  Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Renovation Fund, Christ Our Savior High School, Evansville, IL, and St. Mark's Lutheran School, and can be mailed to Wilson Funeral Home, P.O.
