CAMPBELL HILL – Bobby G. "Bob" Jones, 81, of Campbell Hill passed away at 5:40 AM, Sunday, January 12, 2020 at his home.

Bobby was born on September 22, 1938, in Ava, the son of Frank E. and Lois A. (Reiman) Jones. Bob married Ruth (Kilpartick) Calvert on October 30, 1987 at the Pleasant Hill Church, Murphysboro. Bob was a retired electrician for coal mines and a member of the First Baptist Church, Chapmanville, WV, and he attended the First Baptist Church of Ava for many years. Bob was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Bob is survived by his wife; Ruthie Jones, of Campbell Hill, children; Kenneth (Wanda) Jones, of Hohenwald, TN, Mark (Karon) Jones, of Selmer, TN, Anita (Maurice) Clift, of Hohenwald, TN, Tina Jones Nunez, of Ava, Sherry (Donnie) Ellis, of Vergennes, LeAnn Hertter, of Campbell Hill, Dusty (Michelle) Calvert, of Waterloo, IL, Kevin McCubbin, of South Carolina, Robin Williams, of Indiana, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his siblings; Bert W. (Lois) Jones, of Ava, Benny J. (Joyce) Jones, of Ava, Beulah M. (Carl) Dierks, of Ava, Brenda K. (Mike) Thies, of Ava, Bart N. (Susan) Jones, of Ava, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Dean McCubbin, one great granddaughter; Charlette.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Pastor Jim and Pastor Deb Harkness officiating, burial will follow at the Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening where friends may call from 5 to 8 PM, and then on Thursday from 7:30 until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ava.
