STEELEVILLE - Blanche N. Rees, 86, of Steeleville, passed away at 7:10 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL. Blanche was born September 16, 1924 in Percy, IL to Ernst and Ruth Steele Deppe. She married William E. Rees on March 30, 1946 at Pinckneyville, IL. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Percy, IL and a past member of the Percy American Legion Auxiliary. Blanche was a homemaker. Blanche is survived by her children, Ruth Rees of Steeleville, Deborah (Ed) Tope of Shelbyville, IL and Bill (Kelly) Rees of Steeleville; grandchildren, Shawn (Beth) Tope of Shelbyville, Dana (Keith) Manship of Shelbyville, Ashley (Jason) Rednour of Steeleville and Brooke Rees of Steeleville; great grandchildren, Derek, Haley, Logan, Abby, Drake, Christian, Braydin, Camden, Seth and Carson; four step great grandchildren, Taylor, Jhett, Gradey & Gracey; and one great great grandson, Wade; and one sister, Jewel Middendorf of Percy, IL. She was also preceded in death by her Parents; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Matthew A. Jaiah officiating. Burial will follow at the Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville where friends may call from 10 am until 1 pm Tuesday.
