AVA - Blanche I. Casalino, 96, of Ava, passed away at 7:02 am, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro, IL. Blanche was born in Sato, Illinois on October 19, 1916, the daughter of John B. and Ethel Bastien Smith. Blanche was a Beautician. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and P.E.O. Blanche is survived by one sister-in-law, Mae Smith of Murphysboro; and one niece and four nephews, Robert Teagarden, John Charles Welch, James Davis, Larry Davis, and Mary L. Lages. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and three sisters. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Ken Staib officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava where friends may call from Noon to 2 pm on Sunday. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Association or the Kidney Foundation.
