STEELEVILLE – Billie J. Royster, 75, of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, formerly of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away at 5:15 pm, Friday, September 3, 2021, at home in Ste. Genevieve.

Billie was born in Steeleville, on October 29, 1945, the daughter of Willard and Ruth Turner Patterson.  She married William Royster on June 21, 1976 at Campbell Hill.  He preceded her in death on September 6, 2012.  Billie was a retired OTR Truck Driver.

Billie is survived by three children, Dawn (Joe) Brandon of Campbell Hill, Doug (Kathy) Hammel of Ava, and Sherry (Roger) Blacklock of Vergennes; special friend, James Elwyn of Ste. Genevieve; mother, Ruth Patterson of Freeman Spur, IL; sister, Pat Throop of Freeman Spur, IL; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Billie was also preceded in death by her Father, Willard Patterson; granddaughter, Chelsie Brandon; great granddaughter, Ellie Heller; brother, Dean Patterson; and brother-in-law, Thomas Throop.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Doug Rice officiating.  Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, Illinois.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call on Wednesday from 9 am until 11 am.  Memorials may be given to a Love Fund for the Family.
