STEELEVILLE - Beulah B. Newton, 101, of Chesterfield, Missouri, formerly of Steeleville, Illinois passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Bethesda Meadow Nursing Home in Ellisville, MO. Beulah was born in Cutler, Illinois on April 9, 1913, the daughter of Clifton A. and Roxanna L. Jeffers Browning. She married Walter Basil Newton on September 3, 1939 at Brazeau, MO. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1998. She was a homemaker and worked at International Shoe Factory and a Sales Clerk at Fiene's Mens Wear. Beulah was a member of Steeleville Baptist Church, Steeleville and the Steeleville Chapter #738 O.E.S. Beulah is survived by one daughter, Vicki (Wayne) Gurley of Fairfield Glade, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Beulah was also preceded in death by her Parents; two brothers, Howard Dean Browning and Floyd Browning; and one sister-in-law, Helen Browning. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Steeleville Baptist Church, Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Richard A. Newcom and Rev. Scott Fosie officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 6 pm until 8 pm Wednesday and on Thursday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Memorials may be given to the Steeleville Baptist Church.
