AVA - Beulah Ann Clover, 72, of Ava, passed away peacefully at 5:10 am, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Carbondale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Carbondale, IL. She had been a resident of the facility for two years following complications from a stroke. Beulah was the eldest of three children born to Everett and Eunice (Davis) Gray on May 15, 1941 in Ava, Illinois. She married Ralph Edward Clover on May 29, 1959 and moved to Washington Park, Illinois. This union resulted in five children, Theresea, Randy, Lisa, Rick and Rob. She returned to Ava in 1973 and remained there until moving to the nursing center. Beulah was an employee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield in St. Louis, Missouri during the 1960's and 70's. Following her move back to Ava in 1973, she worked for Carbondale Memorial Hospital, Wal-Mart and most recently H & R Block. Beulah was a member of Crain Baptist Church actively participating in the choir and as a Sunday School Teacher until her illness. She was also a past member of the Gorham PTA and Murphysboro Jr. Women Club. Beulah loved and enjoyed her family, friends, church and crafts. No matter what time of day you stopped in, Beulah would offer friendship and a cup of coffee or a meal; the holidays were a special time for her and she will be dearly missed by many, especially her family. Beulah is survived by her husband, Ralph; their children, Theresea (Gary) Laakko, Randy (Michelle) Clover, Lisa Crowden, and Rick (Tracey) Clover; grandchildren, Gheri (Eric), Shayne, Alexanderia (J.T.), Julie, Emmaleigh, Bryan, Ethan and Ellynne; great grandchildren, Madison and Eryn; her brothers, "Butch" (LouAnn) Gray and "Gene" (Jane) Gray; foster brother, Ralph Knapp and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Eunice Gray, her four siblings in infancy and her dear friends, Charles and Audrey Gray. Beulah was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Eugene Clover in 1995. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Crain Baptist Church in Ava with Rev. Floyd Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 11 am then from Noon until 1 pm at the church. Memorials may be given to the Family.
