WILLISVILLE – Betty Jean Tallo, R.N., 73, of Willisville passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Integrity Nursing Home in Smithton, Illinois.

Betty was born on September 2, 1946, in Perry County, Illinois, the daughter of Gussie Tallo, Sr., and Irene (Gerlach) Tallo. She was a retired nurse from VAMC, St. Louis, Missouri, and also worked in Saudi Arabia in Riyadh as a nurse for 7 years. Betty was of the Catholic Faith and was a very charitable person and loved to travel all over the world.

Betty is survived by a brother; Gussie (Dana) Tallo, Jr., of Steeleville, sisters; Colleen (Bill) Heisner, of Huntley, Illinois, Jean (Ken) Jordan, of Lynchburg, Virginia, and she is survived by a host of family and friends.

Mrs. Tallo was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 nephew; Gussie Tallo, III.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Father Leo J. Hayes officiating. Visitaion will be held on Saturday at the funeral home where friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Willisville. Memorials may be made to Masses or St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
