Betty Schnoeker, 87, of Steeleville, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Betty was born on December 5, 1928, in Steeleville, Illinois, the daughter of Clemons and Marlena A. Eggemeyer Bollmann. She married Earl J. Schnoeker on December 7, 1946 in Steeleville. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1996. Betty operated the dry cleaning business in Steeleville for many years and was retired from Chester Mental Health. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville; American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville; Monday night and Wednesday afternoon Bowling League in Steeleville; she was also a member of the morning coffee club at the drug store; and she was an avid Bingo player.

Betty is survived by her children, Dennis Schnoeker of Sparta, Sharon (Joe) Dearing of LasCruces, New Mexico, Dean (Sandra) Schnoeker of Steeleville, and Sandy Hoestetler of Murphysboro; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one sister, Wyonna Bierman of Steeleville.

Betty was also preceded in death by her Parents; two brothers, Art and Charlie; and one son-in-law, Jerry.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 8, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Julie Posth, Parish Ministry Assistant officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday and on Friday from 7:30 am until 9 am at the funeral home then from 10 am until 11 am at the church.
