WILLISVILLE - Bessie Faye King, 78, of Willisville, passed away at 1:20 pm, Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Randolph County Care Center in Sparta. Bessie was born in Willisville on September 25, 1934, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Josie Glothfelty Henson. She married George Webster King on August 31, 1951 in Murphysboro, IL. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1977. She was retired from Gilster Mary Lee Corp. in Steeleville. Bessie was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, Willisville. Bessie is survived by three sons, Harley L. (Judy) King of Willisville, Ronald Allen (Dawn) King of Shiloh Hill, IL, and George David King of Willisville; two daughters, Kathleen (Joe) Riecan of Chester, IL and Pamela Sue Kohlhaas of Sparta; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one brother, Harley Cleveland Leroy Henson of Springfield, IL. Bessie was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Bill N. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family wishes to give a special thanks to TIP Hospice for what they did.
