Obituary
SPARTA – Bertha Loretta Wolfe, 101, of Sparta, passed away at 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Independent Care Center in Perryville, Missouri.
Bertha was born in Sparta, Illinois on August 12, 1915, the daughter of John A. and Mamie Ross Rust. She married Edward M. "Bud" Wolfe in December of 1934 at Sparta, Illinois. He preceded her in death in August 24, 2002. Bertha was retired from Lowenbaum Dress Factory. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Sparta. She was very active in Various Church Organizations.
Bertha is survived by one son, John (Lois) Wolfe of Perryville, MO; one granddaughter, Annette Miller of St. Louis, MO; and two great grandchildren, Zoey Miller and Zane Miller.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Sparta with Rev. David Hoffelmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta. Visitation will be at the church from 10 am until 11 am Friday. Memorials may be given to the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Funeral is under auspices of Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville.
