STEELEVILLE, Bernice L. Wolter, 92, of Steeleville, passed away at 12:00 P.M. Friday, August 13, 2010, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. She was born October 15, 1917 in Willisville, Illinois the daughter of George Holm and Anna (Fraembs) Holm. Bernice married Clarence Martin (Toby) Wolter on June 19, 1937 in Steeleville, IL. Clarence passed away on November 25, 1998. She is survived by two sons: Alan and Ann Wolter of Sedona, AZ, Richard and Shelley Wolter of Steeleville, IL; one daughter: Barbara and Mark Henthorn of Port Townsend, WA.; six grandchildren: Todd and Dannielle Wolter of Boulder City, NV, Kathy and Tony Macre of Nashville, TN, Travis Kuhnert of Phoenix, AZ, Meredith and Jeremy Horning of Columbus, OH, Derek and Bridget Henthorn of Germany, and Erin and Ted MacNamera of Sandpoint, ID.; Eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers and four sisters. She was a Sales Clerk in different stores, a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL and St. Mark's Priscilla Club. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 8pm at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville and then on Wednesday from 7:30 to 11 and then from 12 to 1pm at the church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke of St. Mark's Lutheran Church will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Parent Teachers League at St. Mark's Lutheran School.
