AVA – Bart N. Jones, 63, of Ava, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at home in rural Ava, Illinois.

Bart was born on November 26, 1962, in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of Frank and Lois Reiman Jones. He married Susan Hardy on November 29, 1980 in Murphysboro, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 11, 2020. Bart was the CoOwner of Hoste Plumbing and a member of the Carbon Lake Club.

Bart is survived by three daughters, Christina (Shawn Skidmore) Jones of Murphysboro, Amber (Derek Ellenberg) Jones of Ava, and Karaline (Travis) Koeppen of Byron, IL; grandchildren, Evin and Davin Ellenberg; one brother, Bert (Lois) Jones of Ava; and two sisters, Beulah (Carl) Dierks of Ava and Brenda (Mike) Thies of Ava; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and all of his adopted children.

Bart was also preceded in death by his Parents; four brothers, Bill, Bob, Buck and Benny; and one infant sister.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, 11:00 - 3:00 pm, at the Ava Community Center, Ava, IL 62907. Memorials may be given to the family.
