CAMPBELL HILL – Barbara L. Rathert, 85, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 4:30 am, Monday, October 31, 2022, at the Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL.

Barbara was born in Red Bud, IL, on September 20, 1937, the daughter of August M. and Alberta M. (Murden) Grah. She married Dan Rathert on June 26, 1965, in Chester, IL. Barbara was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, St. Luke's Choir and Stephen's Ministries. She was a CNA and OB Nurse for many years.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Dan Rathert of Campbell Hill, her children: Debi (Bob) Middendorf of Campbell Hill, Brian (Kristi) Ehlers of Ava, Lisa Offer (Dan O'Rourke) of Campbell Hill, Julie Thomas of Carbondale; her grandchildren: Tisha (Ben) Robertson, Lacey (Curt) Eggemeyer, Aaron (Emily) Powley, Ryan Ehlers, Brad Ehlers, Bria (Justin) Byrd, Corey Rathert, Sarah Offer (Garth McBride) Amanda Rathert, Erica Humes, Prentice Thomas; her twenty-three great grandchildren, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Shirley (Chuck) Holley of Cedar Park, TX, Mary Bollinger of Kyle, TX, Delmar (Sally) Rathert of Smiths Gove, KY, and Joni (Randy) Tollett of Round Rock, TX.

Barbara was preceded in death by her Parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville.
