STEELEVILLE – Audrey L. Stevenson, 96, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, Illinois.

Audrey was born on August 26, 1928, in Cutler, IL, the daughter of William and Alvina (Salger) Vorderbrugge. She married Clayborne Lee Stevenson on May 20, 1950, at the Presbyterian Church, Cutler, IL. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2014. Audrey lived in Cutler for 5 years, she moved to St. Louis, MO, in 1955 and then moved to Steeleville, IL, in 2006. Audrey worked for International Shoe Company, Steeleville, IL, Eisenstadt Company and Mahne Company, a jewelry and silver wholesale distributor in St. Louis. She was a member of Reformed Presbyterian Church in Cutler, IL.

Audrey is survived by her nephew, Gene Brown of Willisville, IL, nieces-in-law: Gail Brown of Steeleville, IL, Thelma Brown of Willisville, IL; her great nieces and nephews: Kristal Rednour, Rob Brown, Aaron Brown, Angela Shaffer, Doug Brown, Jon Brown; her cousins and other extended nieces and nephews.

Audrey was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Leona Brown, two brothers, Arthur and Reuben Vorderbrugge, two nephews, Bob Brown and Reverend Bill Brown, and a niece-in-law Dixie Brown.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Curt Rabe officiating. Burial to follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
