STEELEVILLE – Audrey M. Rathert, 87, of Steeleville, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her home in Steeleville, Illinois.

Audrey was born on April 21, 1938, in Ft. Gage, IL, the daughter of Arthur and Beulah (Abell) Bodeker. She married Marvin Rathert on February 25, 1956, at St. John's Church, Chester, IL. Audrey was a Homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Marvin Rathert of Steeleville, IL, her children: Julie (Steve) Bockhorn of New Athens, IL, Bryan (Bonnie) Rathert of Newnan, GA, Tim (Cheryl) Rathert of Perryville, MO; her 9 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren, and her sister, Sally Kromer of St. Louis, MO.

Audrey was preceded in death by her Parents, her brothers: Walter, Clarence, Harold, Everett, and Kenneth; and her sister, Dorothy Petroske.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 am, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Chester, IL. Visitation will be Friday morning where friends may call from 9:00 am until time of service.
