AVA – Ashley Schroeder, 38, of Ava, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Ashley was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, on November 5, 1987, the daughter of Thomas and Angela Rigdon Schroder. She was a Licensed Massage Therapist. Ashley attended Ava Assembly of God Church, Ava, Illinois.

Ashley is survived by two daughters, Dixie Murray and Faith Murray both of Ava; her mother, Angela Beisner of Ava; brother, Chris (Felicity) Schroeder of Rawlins, WY; grandmother, Karen Smith of Ava; grandfather, John Schroeder of Rockwood, IL; father, Tom Schroeder of Murphysboro; and uncles, Joe Rigdon of Ava, Mike Schroeder of Rockwood, IL, Larry Schroeder of Ava.

Ashley was preceded in death by Grandpa Gale Rigdon; Grandpa Robert Smith; Grandpa Russell Wingerter; Grandmother Mary Schroeder; Uncle Jimmy Rigdon Uncle, Rodger Schroeder, and Uncle Jim Schroeder.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Ava, with Heather Hollmann officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 9 am until 1 pm on Tuesday.
