STEELEVILLE, Arthur Wettig, 91, of Steeleville, passed away at 8:07 P.M. Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his home in Steeleville, IL. He was born October 01, 1916 in Steeleville, Illinois the son of Otto Wettig and Sophia (Joost) Wettig. Arthur married Marie Bruno on March 20, 1976 in Pinckneyville, IL Mr. Wettig was a retired Laborer. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at West Point, IL. He is survived by his wife Marie Wettig of Steeleville, IL Step Sons: Angelo Bruno of Steeleville, IL, Louis and Shelia Bruno of Calsbad, NM, Step Daughters: Margaret and Jim Degenhardt of Oakdale, IL, Cathy Evans of Homes City, FL, Eight Step Grandchildren, Sixteen Step Great Grandchildren, Sisters: Linda Kueker of Steeleville, IL, Stella McFadden of Sparta, IL, Emma and Wib Schoenbeck of Red Bed, IL, Brother-in-law: Floyd Linders of Baldwin, IL. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Bill and Henry and two sisters Elda Linders and one infant. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Point. Rev. Tim Zechiel will be officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Thursday from 6-8 PM and on Friday at Immanuel Lutheral Church West Point, from 9 to 10 am. Memorials may be made to the family.
