PERCY – Arlyn Dale Fisk, 80 years old, passed away on May 21, 2023, at Three Springs Lodge. He was born on June 5, 1942, to Kenneth and Marie (Gerberding) Fisk. Arlyn married Bonnie Jean Roche on September 29, 1962.

As a young teen, Arlyn set pins at Steeleville Bowling Alley. In his late teens, he worked at Bierman's Meat Market, butchering, and delivering meat to local towns. After high school graduation, he set off on a new adventure for the summer at Hawthorne Melody Zoo in Libertyville, IL. He then returned to the area and worked at Steeleville Shoe Factory and then for Byrd's Standard Service Station in Percy. In 1973, he purchased the business which became Arlyn's Service Center and worked there until he retired in 2007. Arlyn volunteered for the Percy Fire Department for 17 years and served as the Fire Chief for several years. He was active in the community and designed the Percy Flag, as well as other projects in town. He was active in the Wesley United Methodist Church, playing the guitar and singing during the church services.

Arlyn is survived by his wife, Bonnie Fisk of Percy, IL, their children: Dale (Nancy) Fisk of Percy, IL, and Dana (Tim) Kellerman of Oakdale, IL; their grandchildren: Trenton (Emily) Fisk, Trevor (Hayleigh Cowan) Fisk, Dustin Renner, Jaqueline, Ashley, and Kyle Kellerman; their great grandchildren: Olivia, Brylee, and Oliver Renner; his sister, Barb (Larry) Phillips of Zephyrhills, FL, and his brother, Stan Fisk of High Springs, FL, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Arlyn was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lila Ashby.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:30 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. James Tinezman officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, IL. Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2023, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, where friends may call from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and then from 7:30 am until hour of service on Saturday.
