STEELEVILLE – Arlene J. Lampe, 80, of Steeleville, passed away at 3:43 pm, Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Arlene was born in Bremen, Illinois on September 6, 1937, the daughter of Wilburn A. and Nora Bierman Schnoeker.  She married Leonard T. Lampe on June 9, 1956 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville.  Arlene was a Homemaker.  She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville.  She counted money for the church for over 30 years.  Arlene was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Leonard T. Lampe of Steeleville; her children, Terry Lampe of St. Peter's, MO and Janice (Jeff) Blind of Sparta; four grandchildren, Raven (Randy) Vasquez, Dillon (Morgan) Blind, Matt (Sarah) Blind, J.R. Blind (Emily); great grandchildren, Chloe, Stella, Harlow, Brody and Brooke; brother and sisters, Jean Schroeder of Steeleville, Donna (Dale) Rice of Percy, Dale (Shirley) Schnoeker of Troy; sister-in-law, Linda Schnoeker of Belleville; sisters-in-law, Loretta Luedeman of Steeleville and Darlene Kraft of Houston, TX; and brother-in-law, Melvin Lampe of Jackson, MO.

Arlene was preceded in death by her Parents; and one brother, Leland Schnoeker. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. William F. Engfehr III officiating.  Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville.  Visitation will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, where friends may call on Friday from 5 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday from 8 am until 11 am.  Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or St. Mark's Lutheran School.
