CAMPBELL HILL – Arlen Dale Thies, 64, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his home in Campbell Hill, IL.

Arlen was born on November 25, 1959, in Chester, IL, the son of Arnold and Leota Marie (Donnell) Thies Jr. Arlen was a retired laborer and had worked at Spartan Printing. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL, and Labors Local #773. Arlen enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Nascar, and hanging out with Sassy.

Arlen is survived by his children: Andrea (Brian) Blazier of Percy, IL, Matthew (Lindsay) Thies of Campbell Hill, IL; his grandchildren: Ellyce Blazier, Gannon Blazier, Jaycie Thies, Sawyer Thies; his siblings: Marty Ehlers of Campbell Hill, IL, Karla (Bill) Kuhnert of Ava, IL, Lynn (Carl) Jones of Ava, IL; many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Sassy.

Arlen was preceded in death by his parents, Amie Jones, Ryan Jones, and Melvin Ehlers.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 6:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Minister Deb Rathert officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2024, where friends may call from 4:00 until the time of service. A dinner will be served at Campbell Hill American Legion after the service. Memorials may be given to Randolph County Humane Shelter, Perry County Humane Shelter, or St. Luke's WELCA and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
